    Kirkcudbright Galleries is a regional gallery of national significance, celebrating and promoting the cultural communities in and around Kirkcudbright.

  • Pottery Workshops

    The Wee Pottery is a new paint it yourself studio based at the Johnston Centre in Kirkcudbright. They offer adult only pottery sessions and family friendly painting.

  • Cat Coulson

    Catherine Coulson is a painter, writer and photographer living in Kirkcudbright. Her work is very much influenced by the natural environment.

  • Joshua Miles

    With his studio just across the road from 118 High Street, Joshua Miles prints celebrate the light and landscapes of Dumfries and Galloway.

  • Alison Corfield

    An embroiderer and textile artist, Alison’s work explores the many seascapes and landscapes of the Solway coast through layering and free machine embroidery.

  • Whitehouse Gallery

    The Whitehouse Gallery is a contemporary art & craft gallery based here in Kirkcudbright. They have firmly established themselves as one of the leading galleries in the region.

  • Heather Nisbet

    Living and working in Kirkcudbright, Heather’s work celebrates the unique personality of the streets, towns and scenes you’ll find locally.

  • Harbour Cottage Art Gallery

    Harbour Cottage Gallery aims to ‘further the Arts in the widest meaning of the term’ by providing an exhibition space for local professional and amateur artists and by showing the work of artists from further afield.

  • Hazel Campbell

    As well bing a successful artist in her own right, Hazel runs popular painting schools in her studio in nearby Castle Douglas throughout the year.

  • Clare Dawdry

    Clare graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2000 with a BA(Hons) in Ceramics, and formed We Make Pots in 2004 with her husband Simon.

  • Clience Studio

    Home to artist, Angela Lawrence, Clience Studio opened in 2004. Her studio doubles as a gallery and displays her original oils, watercolours and signed giclee prints.

Heritage

  • Robert Burns

    A frequent visitor to the area, Robert Burns, was a regular face at The Globe in Dumfries and is said to have written Selkirk Grace here in Kirkcudbright at The Selkirk Arms.

  • National Trust

    With several National Trust properties locally, Kirkcudbright is a great base to explore places like Broughton House or Threave Gardens.
